Description

HemCon® ChitoGauze® XR2 PRO is a sterile hemostatic dressing intended for the temporary external control of severe bleeding. The flexible gauze is coated with chitosan, a hemostatic material that supports clot formation when applied directly to the source of bleeding.

Its Z-fold configuration allows for controlled deployment and efficient packing into an appropriate wound. The gauze remains soft and pliable, helping it conform to irregular wound spaces and maintain contact with bleeding surfaces.

Two integrated radiopaque threads make the dressing detectable under X-ray, providing an important identification feature during subsequent hospital evaluation and treatment.

Compactly packaged for rapid access, ChitoGauze® XR2 PRO is suitable for professional trauma bags, IFAKs, bleeding-control kits, military and law-enforcement medical kits, and emergency-response stations.
