ChitoGauze® XR2 PRO Hemostatic Dressing

Description

ChitoGauze® XR2 PRO is a sterile hemostatic dressing designed for the temporary external control of severe bleeding. Unlike hemostatic products that rely primarily on the body’s normal clotting cascade, its chitosan coating supports hemostasis directly at the wound site.

The soft, nonwoven polyester-and-rayon gauze conforms to complex wound spaces, helping maintain direct contact with bleeding surfaces. Its Z-fold configuration provides a controlled, continuous feed for efficient wound packing.

Two X-Ray-Detectable Strips

ChitoGauze® XR2 PRO contains two embedded radiopaque strips, allowing the dressing to be identified under X-ray during subsequent medical evaluation. The dual-strip design provides an added identification feature if the gauze is divided during use.

Antimicrobial Properties

In addition to its hemostatic function, ChitoGauze® XR2 PRO demonstrates antimicrobial activity against 26 bacterial organisms. This provides an additional benefit when injuries occur in contaminated field or emergency environments.
